The home care, home health, and hospice providers families can trust.
Trusted & Transparent™ is a national recognition program for home-based care providers. It identifies the organizations whose performance in care quality and operational transparency gives families and senior living operators a verifiable reason to choose them.
Transparency is the foundation of trust in care.
Families choosing a home care, home health, or hospice partner for a parent or spouse are searching for more than a service list and a favorable star rating. They are searching for confidence that the organization stepping into their loved one's home takes credentialing, compliance, and accountability seriously enough to put it on display.
Most families do not have the time or the tools to evaluate a care agency on their own. The Trusted & Transparent™ recognition exists to give them that answer up front, with evidence rather than marketing, before they have to ask.
What recognition tells families
- Verified operational standards. Independent signals, not self-report.
- Measured care quality. Ratings from residents, families, and community staff.
- Continuity you can count on. The same caregivers returning to the same loved ones, over time.
- Ongoing accountability. Reevaluated annually.
A score built from what providers actually do.
The Trusted & Transparent™ recognition is calculated through a proprietary composite score developed by Accushield's data science team and applied uniformly across every care provider active in our ecosystem. The score draws only on independent operational signals, so the recognition reflects how providers actually perform in the field rather than how they market themselves.
Verified Alliance Membership
Confirms the provider has signed the Alliance agreement to participate in third-party credential verification.
Google Rating Confidence
Weights star rating by review volume to reward providers with a durable, verifiable reputation rather than a handful of favorable posts.
Visit Compliance
Measures the share of visits that are properly credentialed and verified across every environment the provider serves.
CMS Quality Ratings
Applied where relevant to home health and hospice agencies to reflect regulatory quality and patient survey results already in the public record.
Accushield Care Ratings
Direct feedback captured at the point of care from the families, residents, and staff who see the provider in action every day.
Continuity of Care
Rewards providers who consistently send the same caregiver to the same person over time, a known marker of care quality and relational trust.
Earned by the providers who do the work.
Recognition is organized into two tiers, each reflecting a different threshold of sustained performance across the Trusted & Transparent™ composite score.
Standard Tier
Recognized for a consistently high standard of verified, transparent care, earned through sustained performance that families can count on.
Trusted & Transparent™
The highest level of compliance and care Accushield recognizes, reserved for providers who consistently set the standard for quality and trust across every category evaluated.
Having been an operator of senior living communities, I know how important it is to know who is coming through your doors to care for residents. Accushield's Verified Alliance helps communities answer that question through verified credentials. Trusted & Transparent takes that visibility a step further, recognizing agencies for their commitment to accountability, consistency, and transparency. These providers deserve to have their work recognized, and families deserve better information when choosing care.

Recognition starts with the Verified Alliance.
The Accushield Verified Alliance is the program that puts third-party credential verification at the center of home care, home health, and hospice operations. Alliance membership is how an agency commits to the independent credentialing activity, visit compliance, and operational transparency that the Trusted & Transparent™ score measures.
Every Trusted & Transparent™ recipient began as a Verified Alliance member. For agencies that want to earn recognition in future cycles, joining the Alliance is where that performance record begins.
Answers for families and recognized providers.
What exactly is the Trusted & Transparent™ recognition?
Trusted & Transparent™ is Accushield's national recognition program for home care, home health, and hospice providers. It identifies the organizations whose performance in care quality and operational transparency, measured by a proprietary composite score, exceeds the thresholds Accushield has set for recognition. The recognition reflects aggregate operational performance, not individual caregiver certification.
What is the difference between the Standard and Top-Rated tiers?
The Trusted & Transparent™ Standard tier recognizes providers meeting the program's core performance threshold across credentialing activity, care quality signals, and operational transparency. The Top-Rated Trusted & Transparent™ tier is reserved for the small group of providers whose sustained performance places them at the top of every category the score evaluates. Both tiers reflect genuinely earned recognition. The Top-Rated tier is the highest honor Accushield confers through this program.
Is there a fee associated with this recognition?
No. Trusted & Transparent™ cannot be purchased, applied for, or sponsored. Every home care, home health, and hospice provider active in the Accushield ecosystem is automatically evaluated against the same composite score, and recognition is conferred solely on the basis of measured operational performance. There is no entry fee, no participation fee, and no marketing or placement upgrade available in exchange for payment.
How is the Trusted & Transparent™ score determined?
The score is a proprietary composite developed by Accushield's data science team and applied uniformly across every care provider in our ecosystem. It draws on six independent operational signals: Verified Alliance membership, Google Rating Confidence, visit compliance, CMS quality ratings where applicable to home health and hospice agencies, Accushield Care Ratings captured at the point of care, and continuity of care. Each signal is weighted according to its reliability and relevance to care quality, and the final score reflects sustained performance across the measured period rather than any single moment in time. The methodology is maintained independently of any provider's commercial relationship with Accushield.
Can we use the badge on our website and marketing materials?
Yes. Recognized providers are granted a limited license to display the official Trusted & Transparent™ badge for the applicable recognition period. The badge may appear on your website, in email signatures, in proposal decks, in social media content, and in printed marketing materials. The badge must be used in its original form and in a manner consistent with the recognition conferred. Use of the badge is governed by the program's Terms of Use.
How should we refer to the recognition in press releases and communications?
Recipients may describe themselves as a "2026 Trusted & Transparent™ recipient" or, for Top-Rated honorees, a "2026 Top-Rated Trusted & Transparent™ recipient." Please include the trademark symbol on first use and credit "the Trusted & Transparent™ program by Accushield" when the context benefits from attribution. The full media kit, including the launch press release, approved boilerplate, badges, and embed codes, is available at mediakit.trustedandtransparent.com.
What should we tell families who ask about the recognition?
The Trusted & Transparent™ recognition tells families that an independent program evaluated this provider against operational signals including credential verification activity, visit compliance, care ratings captured at the point of care, and continuity of care, and that the provider's performance exceeded the thresholds for recognition. Families should know that the recognition reflects organizational performance and does not substitute for their own due diligence when choosing care.
Does the recognition mean every caregiver has been verified?
No. The Trusted & Transparent™ recognition reflects aggregate organizational performance across the Accushield ecosystem. It does not certify that every individual care professional employed by a recognized provider has submitted credentials to Accushield or been verified by Accushield. Recognized providers remain solely responsible for the conduct, credentials, and performance of their employees and contractors. Families should continue to conduct their own due diligence when choosing a care provider.
How long is the recognition valid?
The 2026 Trusted & Transparent™ recognition is valid through the 2027 recognition cycle, at which point the composite score is recalculated and the next inaugural class is announced. Accushield reserves the right to revoke recognition during the recognition period if a provider's operational performance falls below program thresholds or if the provider is found to be misusing the recognition.
How do we qualify for 2027 recognition?
Every home care, home health, and hospice provider active in the Accushield ecosystem is automatically evaluated against the Trusted & Transparent™ composite score. Qualification is earned through sustained performance across the measured signals, not through a separate application process. Joining the Verified Alliance is the first step toward recognition. Reach out to our team to learn how your organization can begin building the performance record that leads to recognition.
How are senior living communities informed of recognized providers?
Senior living operators who partner with Accushield see Trusted & Transparent™ status surfaced throughout the tools their teams use every day, including provider dashboards, credentialing lookups, and the public directory at trustedandtransparent.com. Accushield also distributes the recognized provider list through its co-marketing channels and partner communications so operators can easily identify Trusted & Transparent™ agencies when evaluating referral partners or responding to family questions about who comes through their doors.
Who do we contact with questions not answered here?
Program questions, badge support, and press inquiries can be directed to the Accushield marketing team at [email protected]. For questions about qualifying for recognition or joining the Verified Alliance, contact the Accushield sales team at [email protected].

The Trusted & Transparent™ recognition reflects aggregate operational performance and does not constitute a certification, warranty, or guarantee of safety, quality, or verification of individual care professionals employed by recognized providers. Families and anyone choosing care should conduct their own due diligence before engaging any care provider. See the Program Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for full details.
