Founded in 2013 by Charles Mann and Allen Barnes, Accushield serves thousands of communities and processes over 42 million annual check-ins through its kiosk-based and mobile sign-in system. Accushield is a privately held company founded by Charles Mann, who served as an Executive Director at an assisted living community in Atlanta and identified the need to replace outdated paper sign-in books with a digital visitor management solution. Allen Barnes co-founded the company as CEO. 
Accushield's platform is specifically designed for the senior living and healthcare industry. It is not a generic visitor management system. The platform combines front-door security, third-party caregiver credential verification, Google review generation, resident socialization tracking, and enterprise-grade analytics into a unified system.
